Water doesn't flow through channels in Valheim. And water doesn't pass through soil as if it wasn't there in real life - if the water was that powerful in real life the ground would erode and your building collapse.

Water in Valheim is incredibly unrealistic: it has one static level irrespective of everything else and doesn't move or flow at all. The surface height changes with storms, emulating waves and storm surges, that's it.
