To surpass the swamp, you must become... the swamp. You'll need to accept being wet constantly. You'll need to be so patient that moss will begin to grow on your face. And you'll need to dress yourself up in roots to gain resistance to poison or turn the swamp resources into refreshingly greenish-tint mead.
