I have never seen my tame animals attack any property, much less destroy it. I can find no reference to tamed animals doing this, even lox.
Deathsquitos may participate in some events after you have conquered Moder, I assume. I'm postponing Moder until I think my HQ is ready for anything, which is what I usually do. The next Boss you have your sights on can unleash the nasty inhabitants of their biome to attack your base wherever it is, so be prepared for the next Boss before you kill the current one.
And don't do a web search on what you have to prepare for. Just get ready for anything. Too many web searches and you're not playing Valheim, or any game. You're playing Google.
Gobs cannot swim into your base if you build an earth wall and connect it to your trench system. Alternately, you can have wolves and (I presume) lox waiting for them.
Work benches stopping spawns is a cheese. You don't need to stop spawns, you need to contain them and benefit from them. If your base is a large area, subdivide it so that spawns will be contained in local regions. Use fence. After you get wolves, you're going to tear it all down.
Keep one pair of each of your tame animals in a safe place.
Create an arms and food cache that can be reached via portal from the resurrection stone. Expand this into a small, heavily defended base with protected livestock within a quick march from your HQ. If I'm driven out of my base, I'll be back at the head of a pack of wolves and lox if I got 'em.
And finally, rotate your tires.
