Imagine if you told a football player who made 3 million 2 seasons ago they had to keep playing for free because they made so much money back then and could just live off of that. People don't go to work and provide their labor just to be nice. They expect payment. Businesses need money to make payroll and pay overhead. If there's not an expected profit on the horizon, they don't just keep working for the heck of it.
