anymore i max out troll and do just fine up to the mts in it. i use it less for the sneak than for the speed. when i get to the mts i make the wolf cloak asap but will often stick to troll for the rest of the set until the plains. when i want to take out a village or get into more heavy combat i will switch out for silver tier or maybe padded for chest and legs. it's just too much of a bother to mine for ores and make coal to use the bronze or iron for armor. i also tend to just run around with the lamp on unless i'm raiding or fighting a boss. i do max out weapons and shield asap to the highest tier possible, as it's a use of metals. i tend to use a parry shield and axe.
