I'd recommend saving that sausage for simpler biomes. I still have loads of it too (and materials to make more), but it just won't cut it for mistlands.

Dvergr are a renewable source for soft tissue. :p But currently you only need a limited amount of eitr since it's not used for any consumable items.

Dunno if you've read about the current changes on the public test patch, but they should address some of the more frequent concerns about the new content.
