they make the game stupidly easy and most people, including myself, simply don't build them for this reason.

I guess I am among the "few" that actually use portals... Wow... always thought people would rather go the easy route. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe everybody likes to make it as hard upon them as possible and all those posts that claim the game is too hard are just a figment of my imagination...
