I don't need to go into the game to use logic. So I am half away across the world. Meaning only one portal will be closest, based off your theory the wind direction would never change then. Also one of the other posters made a good point, how does the wind change if there are no portals built yet?

A few years back, I helped run a research program for "advanced" students at my college. One of the students was measuring bacterial growth over time.
