From what I understand and my time in play, that in fact the copper nodes specifically do have a small void within them. As you play you will get familiar with the models and the distribution of 'facets'. Using then will also create a roof for utilizing the craft tables. Generally w/o the need for either walls or roofs. Again something you learn over time, and while I do not have it linked to place in responses, I do have a clear shot of a 98% excavated copper node. And also is titled that way. That and other things are documented there. Fair to say they are roughly 4-5 tiles high, something of a muffin, the puffy crown is what you see most times. And 10-15 tiles long. That is simply the rough ore, you will only get a portion of it as raw metal. And half again in bronze conversion.find 2-3 that are as close to your main camp, it should be enough to propel you towards swamp. If you want it. You can incorporate all sorts of methods and means to use these objects to your advantage. Just be shrewd, or what twitch. GL! Feel free to follow-up my door is generally open. Easiest way to see/learn locate a node that is on a very sharp slope. And if you are lucky and keep you eyes peeled , you'll find some that are 40-60% exposed. Half the work done for you. Cut to the bottom with antlers and around then go at it, the node, with metals(picks).
