Wait for them to stop circling and charge in, hold up a decent shield of iron or black metal (serpent scales if you're lucky/skilled), and let them hit it. They'll stop for a moment, and then you can whack them once to kill them. They are only dangerous if you were already engaged with Fulings, or weren't paying attention.
