if you click "start server" it won't require a password but only friends on your friends list can join.

If you hit "community server" you MUST set a password (which makes little sense to me).

if i choose to play with strangers, I most certainly would have safe guards in place to protect my stuff, but how am I going to play with strangers if I have to set a password (that they can't know)?
