Basically just imagine Dark Souls but your progression and success are based more on grinding for food buffs and equipment crafting materials than knowing level layouts or boss movesets.

The enemies telegraph their attacks more
The parry window is bigger
There are no real heavy attacks, though a few weapons have an alt attack
Archery is more run-and-gun style
You have significant health regen
There may as well be no PvP

Like others have said, it's nowhere near as difficult as Dark Souls, just more tedious. I've played the Dark Souls series for probably over a thousand hours and still can just hardly beat Dark Souls 1 (the easiest IMO) without dying. It was maybe 20-30 hours of playing Valheim before I ascended to the ability to do a full deathless run in solo.

That question doesnt make any sense. In Dark Souls is all combat just one button.

You should probably be careful, because presumably you're talking to someone who has actually played Dark Souls and knows that it's neither literally nor figuratively just one button. On the other hand you might try playing Dark Souls before being compelled to answer a question because you feel ashamed that this game may have a simplified version of Dark Souls mechanics on purpose for some reason.

Yes, OP, the combat is clearly inspired by Dark Souls and/or modern Zelda games but is a simplified version of that. It's still more involved than things like Minecraft or the Forest or whatever, honestly it's probably the most coherent survival crafter combat system I've even seen.
