Games are created from the perspective of the developer. When that perspective doesn't fit with the player's point of view, then it's up to that player to find a means to make that perspective work for them.
For example, I use mods that improve my World of Warcraft gaming experience such as simplifying the UI, adding the ability to heal a raid (Healium) more efficiently, having the ability to make notes on the map, and allowing me to track rare animals for my hunter to tame. All of these things are not in the base game. Without these mods, it would take me too much effort to create a spreadsheet to do all of the stuff mods can do.
I'm not interested in mods for Valheim. I don't care how others play their game. So long as they're enjoying it, and they're not infringing on the developer's will on the game.
