If you are looking for a game to "finish" or rush through the bosses and be done then I would suggest waiting.

If you don't mind a slower development pace and willing to provide feedback for an Early Access title and are willing to accept all the conditions that go along with that then I would suggest you get it.

I don't mind starting new worlds when I complete one and exploring new seed possibilities but some people just want to build one seed... I think if you are just looking to make one world and build it up then you should wait for full release of the game.

Realistically the game will not be done for years but it is definitely a work of love and passion by the small dev team. It will be completed in time.

lol fanboy, this game is abandoned, its had like 2 crap updates its entire existance, at least the modders wernt lazy like the devs are
