Game aint hard. You're under an illustion that it is because you spend most of your time farming crap and traveling than actually playing the game lol. I watched a 150 days video on this and 70℅ of the video played like this and 30℅ went to progressing. Got to artificially extend the game after all and hid the measly 6 bosses, actually lower since half if not most of it aren't even difficult just slapped with a large health bar. Depends what you consider boring. The biomes are different each time you progress. If you NEED a particular forsaken power more than 20% of the time you are doing something wrong. You can carry the materials for a workbench and a portal any where you go so that you can move anything but ore instantly back to a main base. If you build your main base on the start island its in the center of the world so the farthest you have to sail is half the distance of the world. The only time you have to sail is initial landing on a new island. You can set up a portal, explore and mark resources and points of interest, to return to later or you can mine things and fill your long boat with ore and make a single trip back to the main base. Once you are there you can smelt the ore. If you left your portal on that island you can take your axe to the boat, recover the materials, portal back ad rebuild the boat.
The forsaken power that you didn't get because you stopped before killing the mountain boss is the one that gives you fair winds for 5 minutes. That would have fixed your problem with paddling for 30 minutes.
If you want a game where you spend 2 minutes gathering resources and leveling up so that you can teleport to the next boss and insta win, this is not the game for you.
