Just don't go to a biome that is way beyond your gear level, and you won't have any trouble fighting them.
They die in 1 shot, and with a proper gear, you can easily sustain up to 3 hits till your health goes dangerously low. Shield easily blocks most of the damage.

i agree here
valheim does not take ones hand when it comes to gameplay
it takes time and some deaths for a player to figure things out.
that what i like about valheim - it lets you make mistakes so you can learn about what went wrong

if you cant survive a biome - you need to gear up
