Outstanding plan for constructing a 2nd level campfire Veranda! I completely forgot that after one places a floorboard under the campfire, the earthen or stone support can be removed. Even placing 2-3 pillars stacked, depending on how high one's overhead flooring is, then removing them would work ticketyboo.
