No way to add poison to weapons unless they come with poison damage.

Coat for the mountains comes with progression into the mountains. Start with frost resistance mead and the swamp boss' drop and you'll eventually find the materials for a nice coat.

Torch won't keep you warm, but dropping a trail of fires everywhere you go or using frost resistance mead will do just fine.
