Full disclosure - after the severe winter here in Texas our swimming pool needed quite a bit of equipment/piping repair. There were shortages of basic pcv pipe fittings and pool equipment because everyone had the same busted water lines issues. By the time I got everything together our pool had turned into a frog/toad hatchery and the spouse thought of them as a 'protected' species. So the real priority list for my spouse is:
Amphibians
Social Media
Reality TV
Family Members
Everything Else

I jokingly brought this up to my daughter and she gave me a reply without looking up from her phone, "I'm doing this right now".
The 'this' was a paint by numbers phone app..........

I reacted as was appropriate and said to both of them, "Well, I'm going to go play a video game".

Somehow the irony went completely over their heads.

Say, does anyone know if Elon Musk is still taking applications for that one way trip to Mars?
