I used to drag and drop for this game, but it became a real hassle for a few reasons. You might be right on that one haha, might actually be easier to just drag and drop. real men don't use mod managers :liam_al:
drag and drop old school style, lol
Ever since trying to install Skyrim mods manually it has left some kind of trauma to use mod managers for everything.
First and foremost, mod managers (or at least r2modman/ThunderstoreModManager) will inform you of updates, and it's as simple as two clicks to update all of your mods. Without the manager, you have to go hunt down all of your mods and manually check.
Secondly, (again, at least with R2MM/TMM) it's a very simple process to share all of your mods. With the managers I mentioned, you can just export your profile as a file for them to download or even just a simple code for your players to input. No need to worry about them accidentally missing one, or having a different configuration, or anything like that.
Third, those mod managers give the option to start he game completely vanilla (for testing or whatever) or for starting modded; there's no need for you to manually go in and move files around when you need to check and see if something is working in vanilla or if it's "just your mods."
The one-click installs are nice, too. ANd the ability to enable/disable without having to go manually delete/move/rename files is a huge plus for when you're trying to lock down a troublesome mod.
It might be more "manly" to make life difficult for yourself, yeah... But I've got enough hair on my chest as it is. :D
