I didn't say the game is currently feature bloated. I just said that I hope it doesn't get bloated. The new update kind of steps into that territory and I'm getting a bit scared of the game diving deeper into it.

But its not even close to feature bloating. They took an unfinished mechanic and fleshed it out. This is an early access game, they aren't changing mechanics just to change them, these are the ways the devs envisioned the mechanics becoming when they had time eventually.
