If you create a world that is too easy or difficult you are "stuck" with it/ have to create a new one
if you could change that in the options you could live adapt the game to your difficulty needs
and difficulty could still affect spawn rates, spawn compositions, enemy strength and health, their resistances etc. maybe even a tick box "respawn spawn structures" that lets body piles respawn ^^

Well, once the new world is generated with the various settings, then it should be a matter of editing the game world INI. I think Transport Tycoon did this. I don't know. I was just saying that at the very least, the devs could introduce such a function. That way those who wish to cry about the game being too hard can play their Hello Kitty Adventure, while the rest of us can play the normal survival version?
