Even if Mistlands was released today you would have people spend only so much time before whining and complaining for more.
If you are worried about burning out from playing Valheim - find other games while waiting for future content. This is a small indie company that took whoever know's how long to get the base early access product that people then had the chance to invest in. No matter how successful they became for said game - that doesn't equate to major increases in speed when it comes to development and Valheim did manage to hire 1 or 2 more developers who then would have to be trained to work on said game with said team.
You may love this game but to me you don't really know how to approach an Early Access game. It's not like we have foresight to know whether Valheim will even release or not, how often content is dropped and so on. You either invest into the early game and choose to play or not.
Groaning and moaning about development pace will only put you in the camp of those who continue to beat on a dead horse thinking that they are performing some version of cpr or necromancy. Valheim also doesn't really require a large community of constant players unlike some sort of pvp game or "live service" game. People leaving is actually probably a good thing because then they can come back fresh as opposed to completely burning out.
So, I think you are a bit confused. You keep commenting about groaning and whining yet the only one really doing that here is you, feedback is what forums are for, if you dont like it, you might want to leave them.
Your terrible attitude aside. It's been a year in a half since Valheim released, since then we have gotta few small patches with the only real progress on the game, being Hearth and home. I dont know how much you actually know about Game development, or about game history. However, I know quite a bit. so let me educate you! :D A year in a half, is enough time to pump out a full fledged highly developed game. For instance, Overwatch 2. is readying for release and it took, about two years. Keep in mind, it got nailed by Covid. In short though. 2 years to slam out a massive game. Now I understand that Irongate is a smaller team. However, they made....19... point.... 1.... MILLION. They have the money to expand their team. :) That said.... They are taking the time it takes to produce a FULL game, to make ONE Biome. If you can't see the problem with that I don't know what to say to you that isnt an insult at your intelligence xDSerious question: why should the devs care if existing players leave? They've already paid for the game, a new biome will not generate any revenue from this audience.
Easy answer. A future. Iron Gate is a starting out Development team. They started out strong, but they are going to quickly go under at this rate. If they want to keep their success, then they will care a ton. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE this company and Valheim, but from one Professional to another (another being them.) They gotta get a move on.
Do you have access to their book?
They could literally say "well this is it, this is v1" and they would still have a bright future since the game sold so well and was such a success.
