Toughest enemy in the mountain is the golem, which the sword deals grey damage against. Mace wins again.

Mace is good for damage, but kills in stamina drain. Unless that's been updated as well.

Sword is faster with good damage vs most mobs. Been personally using the dark iron sword at lvl 3 and it works great. Especially with the guys system rework.

Of course though I still use other weapons depending on the situation.
