Once the trunk has fallen you can push them. A few times I've pushed the fallen logs to take down tress that are 'too hard' for my current axe. Rolled the logs back and forth into the harder tree until it falls luckily the hard tree has fallen before the log breaks. A slight slope helps a lot.
