I'll take them down in one or 2 blow. That is with a fully uppgraded black metal sword and some nice sword skill 60+. Their weakness is against swords. When I notice the Abomination wakes up, I quickly runs to it before it has finished the so call wake up process and do a secondary attack on it. If you are in the right spot it goes down in one blow.
