My main base is awesome in both worlds I play in. I sleep there every night and don't even place beds or things in my outposts. If you manage portals properly and use outposts, you can reach anywhere in the morning and return to base in the evening. Also, building the base is a real blast and having two worlds allows you to share the resources, somewhat alleviating the grind caused by the ore portaling restriction. It's an awesome game, op.
