Thanks for this post. I, too, am getting a kick out of the Mistlands. I don't think it's perfect, but so what?

Maybe the black forge looks like it belongs on the Evil Enterprise, or the news set for the Goth News Channel, but you can make a home for it. Just redesign everything around it and it'll fit right in. ;)

At this point, that's my big gripe. They shouldn't take time to fix it, though. (Unless they really like me) What true Viking fears a decorating challenge?
