I use blank portals and have been for about 600 gameplay days. They work fine.

This is a user-caused problem.

My portals with names had no issues. This was using an Unnamed Portal, it took me to a prior location instead of an actual Portal location. This has happened to me on multiple occasions as I engage in long periods of game play 6+ hours some sittings with no breaks. I was told in DIscord that the issue was likely due to the server not having time to reset causing it to remember the temporary location instead of mating up with the permanent location.
