Oceans is also going to be a biome and very well could be the next big update itself. As far as I know nobody knows.. gonna be at least year before it's done regardless probably closer to 2.

when they do add content to the Ocean biome, i hope they add floating fortresses and ships occupied by the Dvergr race they added in the Mistlands update.
