Haven't used it but Doesn't Valheim plus have options to make the game harder and you can disable the features that make the game easier? I was always curious about that mod for how it could make the game harder.

Unless the feature making the game easier is in your face and unavoidable it should be easy enough to ignore. It is very much like portals in the base game, they make the game stupidly easy and most people, including myself, simply don't build them for this reason.

Portals make things SHORT. Not easy. Running ores home from any distance is an easy, albeit lengthy routine. Once you are out of the biome that you retrieved your ores from, the only semi-dangerous thing you can do is somehow make a 180 and walk right back in. All you got to do is carry your stuff through long stretches of harmlessness.
