Lucidess replied to Bonemass seems really nerfed! October 29, 2021 @ 10:20:30 pm PDT
Despite what the dev's say, multiplayer is making boss fights much easier. Even if the boss hit harder or had more HP, it wouldn't even matter, especially if anybody had Silver equipment. I'm assuming somebody had a Frostner or Silver Knife/Sword? That would of completely ruined any tension of the fight. Bonemass is supposed to overwhelm you with the adds he spawns, the rain, and the swamp itself.
Bonemass is a fight of patience, but if anybody start's sequence breaking the game, they shouldn't even be participating in the fight. It just ruins the experience for everybody else.
It is possible to kill Bonemass solo, with just Troll Armor, and a level 4 Club. Sounds stupid, but there's a lot of advantages you get when choosing this loadout. Trying to block or parry will drain your stamina, using an iron mace will use too much stamina per swing and might leave you vulnerable for a full on hit, and the Troll armor maintain's your movement speed to move away from Poison quicker. That 10% of movement speed is just enough to help you get away from "the big puke attack" every time. And best of all, you didn't have to CHEAT and get Silver.
I would say none of the bosses are raid bosses, in any form, comparing this to games like Monster Hunter where the boss actually attacks everybody at once. These bosses don't even attack faster, or have lower cooldowns, or more attacks, they are just.. big enemies.
