I'm sorry, but your snub remark about "convenience" is total bs. Its more like quality of life mechanics that are needed and should be expected.

i disagree here with too much qol the player might not get the proper gaming experience
imho valheim goes in the right direction
a player should avoid to rush into enemys and then get out of it without beeing punished on death - i like that valheim forces one to plan a bit forward

things may change but i would like to see the current "punishment" unchanged
if one dislike this - use mods or move over to another gaming experience
im tired of "babygames" with all the greens, blues and epics were one dont really need to "get back on the feet" after one has died

not a fan of dark souls, but also not a fan of too easy survival games

the current game description says: "[...] brutal survival game [...]"

I don't know how you can call this a "brutal survival game" when Yagluth only has 3 attacks. Or when Greydwarfs see you two shot a troll then proceed to throw a rock at you. Like i said in my original comment, this game isn't genuinely difficult, its time consuming. You kill bosses to build new things, because base building is the focal point of the game...and what should be focused on even more...imo.

It's all about perspective and to each their own.
