Anyway, they seem to be empty now. The devs said that the mistlands will be compatible with older worlds, so it'll be there in your world when its released. Pretty awesome stuff

The mistlands content will load only where you have not explored most important of all, so if you're trying to play on one world only, stay clear of mistland areas until the update or they'll not be updated.
