Every work structure (thats not walls or building parts) blocks spawn, including unlit toches, forges etc etc...

Sometimes creatures can spawn before such structures are loaded as map chunk loads... I guess if server is having a seizure something similar could happen with campfires. Or could be a straight up bug... i have not seen a wrong spawn in a looong wile... both SP/MP this patch/older patches. But we never build super big or dig too much.

I see them all the time both SP and MP but it is always birds and deer.
