We did some really stupid stuff as kids... I recall playing Dare with my friends and jumped from a 4th storey balcony to the ground. Fortunately, I chose to land in a pile of gravel and only sprained my ankle.
Later in life I worked around construction sites (skyscrapers, not houses) and I've seen deaths from falling from all sorts of heights, from just 5 meters to 100 meters. It's never pleasant and can be very messy.

It's never the fall damage that is stupid, it's the person who didn't take enough care to prevent a fall. o.O
