...so you just keep eliminating the respawns until the RNG spits out some *'d ones...it's how I cycle thru the 'encounter list' for resources in my borderline Plains/Meadows biome base. If you stay in one area long enough and eliminate all the nearby spawns as they instance, you can start to see the list of encounters/spawns pattern. First you'll get Squitos, then some Fulings, then some birds, then some Lox, etc...First some deer, then some boars, then some GD's...etc. You gotta kill them all to trigger the respawn...rinse/repeat.
