Just go for wolves strait away. I had a no star wolf on day 7 with an alt. You typically are trying too avoid getting hit by them anyway, so it really does not matter your HP or armor level. Just run fast so freeze effect does not end you.

I'll probably get wolves at some point, I think I spotted a mountain not too far I'm just chilling in the Meadows for now because I'm trying to build a big village and it's taking me ages.

That's a relief then. I thought so but I also believed there could be other factors like what happens to raids (they not only need you to slain X boss but also you being in the proximity of 3 base structures) or new spawns (like skellies spawning in the meadows after defeating Bonemass). So I thought "what if the condition is not just the biome itself but also proximity to X elements of said biome?" so I wanted to make sure.
