That's not what he said. There's no lack of talent on either side. The modders have a passion and don't make the mods for a living. They spend more time crafting 1 element of the game that a dev might have happily done but because he's a dev he has to work on 50 other things as well.

As someone whos written plenty of software neither the OPs comment nor yours is correct.
