Its a bit more generalized, and partially asking if this was normal nowadays. Bees, and meadows in general, didnt used to be this rare but that could just be a result of my seed. Black forest didn't used to be so abundant, but again that could be the seed. Leviathans certainly weren't this common either (my first few games saw me spend at least an hour on finding them normally but this game i keep nearly crashing into them as they just pop into existence in the weirdest spots while im going full speed). Explored the central 1/3 of the map already (found the trader btw) and found 12 leviathans so far, yet not a single serpent. I Even managed to get some muddy scrap before getting into a crypt so I could even cook the dang thing now if i could find one! (which is part of why i do bother wasting iron on it so early, serpent is lovely food for swamp tier). It seems like the spawn rates of everything were slightly adjusted since I've been gone, or i just got a weird seed. Im not sure which so im asking if it is normal nowadays. So is this about the queen bees or what? I can't find anything unusual going on.
This part I actually did do, partly to finally find meadows at all, but as you mentioned i left the icons off except spawn. For the most part the map is accurate to what i have uncovered so far, but there have been a few notable differences to, and not just "oh this sandbar is slightly more connected than the generated map implied" more like "oh this entire island exists that the map didnt mention, small island, but still". Not sure if that's within the normal variations or not though. i know the generated map is usually very close but not always 100%. It was close enough to at least get me to a continent with a large meadows (the one with 3 draugr villages) and by chance, the black forest near that meadows is where my merchant ended up anyway, so now i have a base there since its the biggest meadow i found outside of start and it sits in a black forest bubble bordered by swamp, plains, AND mountain. It went from real weird spawn luck to amazing base potential, so that's nice. there is always valheim map generator website where you can input your seed and cross-reference it with your own map and see if some funny business is going on. If you do check out that site, try to not to spoil the locations of crypts/bees/merchants etc.. it's disabled by default
