That's not the point, the fact is that you can sit and do nothing and not worry about dying of hunger or thirst which is something that fundamentally makes survival games, since it's based on surviving. Food only acts as a temporary buff, rather than a necessity.

That's a pretty narrow definition of survival games. Where are you getting your definition from? Clearly the standard definition is much broader.

FWIW, Steam has it listed in the survival category, so, at least in relation to the topic of this thread it is a survival game.
