I am a little torn on that. Your best hunting is often at night; wraiths only out at night, glowing plants easier to find like thistle, sea serpent, etc. Very short nights would make that a pain.
If they make both night and day longer, that would work for me, or if they just increased day by 50% maybe, that would also work for me. Just don't make night any shorter than it is now.
I am also all for having it cycle offset from the human wall clock. Some people may play, say for 1/2 an hour right after work/school. If they always pop in at 5:00 and stop at 5:30, their day/night cycle is the same each session, and if you lengthen it, they may miss some daylight or night and be unable to experience a mix of day/night. If the cycle is offset a bit, say 45 min cycles, they get a mix from day to day. The longer the cycle, the more this is needed.
