So, I think you are a bit confused. You keep commenting about groaning and whining yet the only one really doing that here is you, feedback is what forums are for, if you dont like it, you might want to leave them.
Your terrible attitude aside. It's been a year in a half since Valheim released, since then we have gotta few small patches with the only real progress on the game, being Hearth and home. I dont know how much you actually know about Game development, or about game history. However, I know quite a bit. so let me educate you! :D A year in a half, is enough time to pump out a full fledged highly developed game. For instance, Overwatch 2. is readying for release and it took, about two years. Keep in mind, it got nailed by Covid. In short though. 2 years to slam out a massive game. Now I understand that Irongate is a smaller team. However, they made....19... point.... 1.... MILLION. They have the money to expand their team. :) That said.... They are taking the time it takes to produce a FULL game, to make ONE Biome. If you can't see the problem with that I don't know what to say to you that isnt an insult at your intelligence xD
Instances of you whining about game development:
"Love this game, But mistlands is killing this game."
"However.... This game is starting to have a MAJOR problem."
"The devs are taking ENTIRELY way to long to get new content out."
"What on earth is taking so long?"
" I love this game and dont want that to happen to it. Though, with how long its just taken to get mistlands out,"
"We might have the game finished in 15 years :)"
I know about game development enough not to compare an apple to an orange and think that they should be the same thing. The amount of fallacies you spout on regarding this topic is appalling to me.
You say that a year and a half is enough time to pump out a full fledged highly developed game and then immediately wreck your own logic by saying that Overwatch 2 took two years while leaving out it being Overwatch "2" aka it has previous assets, mechanisms, systems, trained developers, etc... to take full advantage of plus it's Blizzard which is a massive company in the USA that doesn't even treat it's workers right (otherwise why unionize?) compared to European game companies that treat workers better when it comes to vacation / time off and whatever else that may slow down the development of a game that isn't in a unfettered capitalist society like USA.
As stated they hired like 1 or 2 more people and with an initial team of what... 4-6 people that is a lot. And yes having a ton of money doesn't mean instant gratification for people like you who are impatient for new content - it may eventually speed up development but better will result in a financial cushion to stabilize what the developers are already working on and may increase future content releases as well.
It's clear to me that you boast a big game yet fall completely short on logic and common sense. The developers made the mistake of creating an ambitious road map and didn't realize that releasing an early version of the game to so many different computer set ups would result in a lot more time finessing said game before/while continuing on with future content. You equating Valheim and it's dev team to Overwatch 2 and Blizzard is beyond hilarious.
edit: No point awarding you with a clown lol.
