I dunno, I think it was the best time to give us a good old dope slap. Being too harsh in the BF might have needlessly chased a lot of folks away. I know, now is the time for all the "Brutal" lovers to get up in arms but this is just my opinion so cool your jets... It was the pandemic and many (like 8 milllion of them in this case) were looking for something to do and most wouldn't have known brutal from bupkis so BF gave them a little break. So what. Soon enough players figured out swamp and either realized what was needed or meandered off to do something else.

On my current play through, this morning I hit the swamp and still got a little chill when that sinister music opens and there's my first 1*draugr, lightly clad as I am. Nope, game doesn't hold our hands, but that's not a bad thing.
