According to the Unreal Engine 5 Specifications[docs.unrealengine.com], you only need a GPU compatible with DX11 or DX12.
DX11 was released in 2009, so any GPU from 2010 onward should be able to run the basic UE5 engine. Real performances will of course depend on the game itself and the GPU considered.

No, you don't need a RTX 3070 to run a UE5 game.
to run UE5 is what i was talking about.

the devs don't even have those gpus what makes you think they're going to upgrade?

iron gate consists of 5 people total, there is zero reason for them to upgrade especially with the fact that YES all games that upgrade will have to also upgrade their min specs.

this is what satisfactory will be doing in S8, they are upgrading and they have stated that a lot of people who used to play the game, will likely have to update their gpus to continue to play the game.

and to clarify once more: early access games often change their minimum specs, which is what satisfactory is doing as i've already said, but valheim will likely have to change their specs massively in comparison if they were to upgrade the engine.

not to mention it has already been said, but the pixelated look of valheim doesn't actually need any of the eye candy that UE5 would bring.
