The terrain is a bit excessive, I'll agree there. It's a beautiful biome when the mist clears, it's a shame that you can't see much of it most of the time. I kind of wish the mist mechanic was more isolated to around the dungeons, or even in the dungeons -- I don't like dealing with it constantly in the entire biome.
Something needs to change about being able to haul metals. Not being able to portal with them is fine, I get the incentive for sailing. But when you can't haul a cart through a biome we need another option. I haven't tamed lox in this playthrough, but last time I did it was extremely underwhelming. But maybe riding a lox while burdened is the best way to get stuff out of the mistlands?
But yeah, I agree, there's just a little too much jumping in mistlands. It's a silly mechanic that pulls you out of the game. And then the visibility thing takes away from the feeling of exploration.
