I am almost at a point of impass though. My gear is almost all maxed out for the pre-iron workbench and forge I have now. So, it looks like the Elder has to be near term on my list of objectives. Sure, I could go into swamps and try and get some root armour first, map out the crypts, and return later with the key. Heck, I may just do that now instead and hold back on Elder for a bit =)

Yes, there are many ways to skin a fish. I've got bronze weapons but not armour. I have frost resist potions because I want onion seeds, but won't search the mountains until I have bronze armour.
