ya the Mead knocks it down to 1.5 over 10 seconds I think. It is a resistance not a cure.

I believe its trying to force you to make anti-poison potions before going into areas with that level of poison.

You are likely already aware but by default the tool tries to match the level of the ground at your feet. So I you are standing on high ground and point it at lower it will raise, if you are standing ..

Strictly the number of connects away from a "blue" piece as far as I am aware. For regular wood it's something like 9 or 10 connects to red i think.
