Without farming, the best food set you're going to get will probably be cooked meat, cooked lox meat and sausages. Though even sausages require gathering thistles, and it sounds like OP may be wanting..

You don't NEED to cook, but you'll be heavily handicapping yourself if you don't. But it isn't as bad as you might think, farming isn't really a time sink at all and you can cook a lot of food quickly..

I didn't back up my save no. But I wasn't switching profiles on my comp. Didn't even turn the computer off, as I was playing a couple hours in the morning today.

Sounds like you did not back up your save file, and also may have switched profiles on your machine ... guessing

That's what mods are for lol, my partner Desvero has like 120+ mods running on his game right now-- he even streams it to twitch, its really cool esp cuz he's imported himself a cute little anime char..

Even AAA games usually only get a couple content updates a year (most in the form of paid DLC), and that's for released games with large teams working on them... This is early access, and a tiny team...

I think people forget that the game technically hasn't even launched yet, it's still in "test mode" if you want a fully developed game that's polished then consider looking into Ark Survival..

They are probably polishing it. I would not want to rush them to deliver a bad product.

I don't see how doing that would restore a world file which has already been overwritten. Sounds like it's only a solution to stop the same thing from happening again in the future.
