How much non-portable material is to be mined in Mistlands? Black marble is portable, but I'm not sure if scrap iron or other materials would make a main base in Mistlands worth it.

Mistlands has the advantage of preventing most of the existing invasions from occurring, like trolls, at least according to the wiki.

It's not getting killed by enemies. It's the biome itself. The fun is drained right out of the game.

I honestly believe they need to add more ways to get iron. For starters, more mobs in the swamp should drop iron bits occasionally. This would allow bold players to carefully get a bit of iron earlier..

600 silver is way too much mining. No need to mine that much and I understand it bored you. I'd pace myself better in the future.

Agreed; adding RNG to an already punishing and grindy skill system sounds like a recipe for ragequits and "optimizing the fun out of the game"; the best case scenario I'm imagining is people..

I am not even sure that workbenches do it now too...I have tiny strip of Plains surrounded by black forest from 3 sides and ocean by another... it's really small and I made sure to place 3 workbenches..

I converted my saves to local and it did nothing. The game crashed once, and now it crashes any time for longer than 20 minutes? It's been doing it for days.

Is there anything unusual about your world? If it was crashing on autosave that usually indicates its attempt to save some kind of corruption. (Tons of animals, insanely large, devconsole hacked build..

My workaround was to load in and quit before potential auto save. repeated till I could sleep in bed. Seems to have fixed it. We'll see if it happens again some other time.

Pretty much any structure but walls/floors/roofs should block spawn. But they also trigger raids.
